Rotate your mindset 180 degrees

This is one of the most difficult things to accomplish in a search, to stop thinking as a candidate and more like an employer. Most candidates throw everything they can at an employer, "I can do this and this and that ..." in hopes that the employer will see skills that will work. Unfortunately it doesn't. You'll usually be seen as not qualified. Instead, study the job ad and talk about your ability to accomplish the A, B, Cs and Ds in the ad - sell them what they're buying. Conduct all of your interview activities with this mind perspective and you'll more readily cultivate an offer.
