Most candidates, some months into their search, get bummed out and lose their productivity. This is due to unrealistic expectations - thinking searching will be short, easy, and everyone will love them. Wrong! Searching is long, slow and rude. It requires 25-35 hours per week of dedicated effort, and a solid support system to get you over and through the humps. You can take a little time off to right yourself, but you must pull yourself up by your boot straps, manage your adrenaline and emotions, and get back in the game. Only you can make your search successful. Don't give up on yourself. Give yourself a kick in the bum, get your head in gear, and get your search rolling again. See our Buddy System post to help you.
